INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
ZAMBIA

Maamba Collieries Limited  (MCL), Zambia in which Nava Bharat (Singapore) Pte. Ltd  holds a majority  equity stake,  has commissioned a 300 MW Coal Fired Power Plant (Phase-I) at Maamba.

This mine-mouth power plant utilizes the thermal grade coal produced in Maamba coal mine as fuel and adds substantial value to the operations of MCL.

It also helps in widening the potential for power generation sources in Zambia to meet the growing domestic demand as well as to export power to the South African Power Pool (SAPP) region experiencing shortage of power.
