Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBV) is a diversified organization with interests in power generation, ferro alloys, mining and agri-business. The Company is in business for over three decades and operates in different geographies spanning across India, South East Asia and Africa.

Nava Bharat (Singapore) Pte. Limited (NBS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NBV, is the hub of all overseas investments in various business verticals and geographies. Its subsidiary, Maamba Collieries Limited (MCL) is the largest coal mining company in Zambia with foray into thermal power generation.

Nava Bharat Energy India Limited (NBEIL), a step-down subsidiary of NBV, implements power projects in India.


NBS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBV).Strategically located in Singapore, NBS handles all the overseas investments of NBV in various geographical locations across different business verticals through strategic associations and joint ventures.The total investments at present exceed US$ 1 Billion.

NBS is making large investments in coal mining and thermal power generation in Zambia, commercial agriculture in Tanzania and hydel power generation in Laos.

The Company has acquired a majority equity stake of 65% in Maamba Collieries Limited (MCL), the largest coal mining company in Zambia and 80% in Kobe Green Power Company Limited of Japan for developing a 108 MW Hydro Electric Power Project in Laos. While mining and sale of coal have commenced at MCL, construction of a mine mouth, coal fired Power Plant of 300 MW capacity (in Phase-1) is under progress at Maamba. Once completed, this will add substantial value to MCL.
